Qualifications

• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of starting employment.
• Active State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies expected outcomes, and develops an individualized plan of care.
• Directs care and oversees any assistants involved in direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians, and staff; documents care plan and communications.
• Participates in shared governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and updates the care plan accordingly.
• Uses best available evidence, including research findings, to guide clinical practice decisions.
