Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for Emergency Services on the in-house registry nights. The role requires a BSN, IL RN license, and BLS, with additional ER-specific certifications supported within one year of hire.

Responsibilities include data-driven care planning, directing care, and collaborating with the health team to optimize patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities.
• Analytical skills and ability to work with a team.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, plans and coordinates patient care.
• Directs care and utilizes any assistants appropriately.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff to create a plan.
• Participates in governance, committees and unit projects.
• Documents patient responses and adjusts care plan as needed.
• Uses evidence to guide nursing practice.
