Job summary
Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a full-time night shift with a $3,000 sign-on bonus and an hourly pay range of $34.50–$55.20. The role emphasizes patient-centered care in a high-acuity ED setting within the Northwestern Medicine system.
Required BSN, active Illinois RN license and BLS; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills are essential. The team focuses on evidence-based practice, governance participation, and delivering quality
Qualifications
- BSN required and Illinois RN license in good standing.
- BLS certification from American Heart Association required.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills essential.
Responsibilities
- Collects and analyzes data to plan and evaluate care outcomes.
- Directs care and coordinates with the care team and assistants.
- Collaborates with patients, families, physicians and staff to create an outcome-focused plan.
- Participates in governance, committees and unit projects.
- Documents patient responses and adjusts the care plan accordingly.
- Uses evidence to guide nursing practices and decisions.
