Job summary

Spring View Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, in Lebanon, KY, is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7 p.m.–7 a.m.) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the Emergency Department. The RN will provide continuous care, document interventions, monitor patient status, and educate patients and families while coordinating with the care team to ensure

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS is required within 12 months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
