Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Active and unrestricted Connecticut RN license.
• Leadership experience in an Emergency Department setting (Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, or similar).
• Preference for current or recent Level 1 Trauma Center ED experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams, improve operational performance, and drive patient care excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Department.
• Lead staffing, recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management initiatives.
• Foster a positive, collaborative culture that supports engagement and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, infection prevention, and patient safety standards (DPH and The Joint Commission).
• Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to promote high-quality, patient-centered care and outcomes.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives, patient experience strategies, and department performance goals.
• Manage departmental operations, resources, and workflow for efficient patient care delivery.
• Champion a culture of safety, accountability, compassion, and excellence.
