Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT, seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to lead the Inpatient Trauma Unit, supporting patient-centered care for diverse surgical and trauma cases. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams to drive daily operations and nursing excellence.

You will supervise frontline staff, help coordinate staffing and patient flow, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement aligned with Trinity Health values.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN.
• Minimum 2–3 years of acute care nursing experience.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Connecticut or multistate

Responsibilities

• Assist with staffing coordination, scheduling, patient throughput, and resource management to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Provide frontline supervision, guidance, coaching, and support to nursing and support staff.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
