Essentia Health—St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse for permanent night shift coverage. The role includes leadership of patient care, delegation to nursing staff, and adherence to Joint Commission standards.

Requirements include a BSN or ADN, 2+ years Med/Surg RN experience, and active state licensure. BCLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and TNCC certifications are expected within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg RN experience.
• Licensure in state of employment.
• BCLS within 1 month.
• ACLS within 1 year.
• PALS within 1 year or ENPC within 2 years.
• TNCC within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient care by coordinating all phases of the patient care process.
• Delegate care tasks to nursing staff based on licensure and role.
• Support the facility and Essentia's mission and community impact.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.
• Provide urgent and comprehensive care for a wide range of conditions.
• Perform rapid assessments, administer treatments, and manage emergencies.
