Essentia Health in Brainerd/Baxter, Minnesota, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to lead patient care across a Medical/Surgical unit. This 0.75 FTE role involves rotating 12-hour day/night shifts and caring for orthopedic post-operative, fracture, and general post-surgical patients.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, delegating tasks to licensed staff, and ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards while supporting Essentia’s mission and community impact.

Qualificações

• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.
• BCLS certification within one month.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Patient Care: Organize and deliver comprehensive care by managing all phases of the patient care process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Guide and Delegate: Act as a team leader by delegating care responsibilities to nursing staff based on their licensure, training, and role specifications.
• Contribute to a Greater Mission: Play a crucial role in advancing the facility’s and Essentia’s mission and goals, making a meaningful impact on the community we serve.
• Ensure Compliance: Adhere to the standards set by the Joint Commission and other relevant federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
• Orthopedic Post-Operative Patients: Including those recovering from total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements.
• Fracture and Repair Cases: General fractures, as well as tendon and ligament repairs.
• Post-Surgical Patients: Following back and neck surgeries, urological procedures, abdominal procedures, and ENT surgeries.
• Medical Overflow Patients: Providing care for patients requiring additional medical support beyond standard unit capacity.

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
