Job summary
Essentia Health seeks an Emergency Services Tech at SJMC in Brainerd, MN. The role provides direct patient care under RN supervision, conducts EKGs, wound care, and patient transport. Licensure requirements include BCLS and EMT/LPN/CMA/NA credentials or active BSN coursework.

Qualifications
- CPR/BCLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
- Emergency medical technician, LPN, CMA, or nursing assistant program completion
- Currently licensed EMT/NA/LPN/CMA upon hire or BSN student who has completed 3 years of schooling
- Employee in SJMC Emergency Department as an Emergency Room Technician may apply
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under RN supervision
- Perform wound care, splinting, and immobilization as needed
- Conduct EKGs and POC testing
- Transport patients between departments and assist with hygiene and nutrition
- Maintain safe, clean environment and report changes in patient condition
