Job summary

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for Emergency Services to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will collaborate with the medical team, document care accurately, and educate patients and families on condition, treatment plan, and follow-up steps.

The role emphasizes pain management, prompt response to requests, and preparing patients for self-management, while supporting professional growth and adherence to standards within the department.

Qualifications

• RN license (RN) required
• ACLS/BCLS within specified timelines
• PALS/Stroke/EMT certifications or equivalents may be required
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 1 year of start date
• No travel required

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management
• Perform procedures and monitor as ordered by providers; document in patient record
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs
• Educate patients/families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up
• Prepare patients and families for self-management and healthy lifestyle changes
