Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple, TX is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for full-time evening and night shifts. Join a high-acuity ED with strong leadership and multidisciplinary teamwork in a Level I Trauma Center.

RN license (TX or compact) and at least 1 year ER experience are required. Expect to work 3:00 p.m.–3:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. with opportunities for professional growth and certification support.

Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Full-Time Evenings)

Evening and Night shifts: 3:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. or 7:00 pm-7:00 am

Location: Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple, TX

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple is seeking experienced and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurses to join our Level I Emergency Department. Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional who uses the BSWH nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care delivery by the health care team. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, and evaluates the patient's response. The RN promotes safe passage for their patients by using knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients to transition through the healthcare encounter without any preventable complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions to health care personnel based on the Texas Nursing Practice Act, each patient's condition and the competencies of the employee. RN job is to be used for RNs in hospital inpatient and outpatient departments with 24X7 staffing which include those departments with on‑call staffing on the off shifts. Examples of hospital inpatient and outpatient procedural areas: GI Lab, Pain Management, Dialysis, Infusion Centers and IV Services.

Clinical Judgment: Using clinical reasoning, conducts accurate clinical assessments according to practice standards. Identifies and prioritizes patient and family needs. Develops, implements and evaluates the nursing plan of care. Modifies plan to meet clinical outcomes. Open and sensitive to all team members' unique contributions. Delegates tasks and care to appropriate staff and ensures timely follow‑up.
