Northern Nevada Health System is seeking an ER Registered Nurse for a per diem, flexible schedule at the North Valleys ER. The role involves providing professional nursing care in the Emergency Department, coordinating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure rapid, safe patient care.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, triage, head-to-toe assessments, and pain management education for patients and families across all ages.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License
• Two to three years exp in the emergency department preferred OR
• Two to three years critical Care Exp OR
• Extensive EMS background experience
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
• Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire)

Responsabilités

• Provides direct patient care in the ED and coordinates care with other disciplines.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments, including pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Uses triage to ensure timely, appropriate care and assigns triage categories.
• Monitors hemodynamic status and interprets results.
• Educates patients and families on pain management and care plans.
