Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks an Emergency Services Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced ED setting at AZ General Hospital Laveen. You will perform critical assessments, skilled procedures, and develop care plans as part of an interdisciplinary team.

With 2+ years in ED and current certs (ACLS, BLS, PALS), you’ll contribute to improving patient outcomes in a 16-bed, non-profit hospital environment as part of a nationwide system committed to Humankindness.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in AZ or Compact state required.
• Two years of ED experience.
• American Heart Association certifications.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
• Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
• Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
• Recognizes limits of scope of practice, seeks multidisciplinary collaboration, utilizes appropriate resources, and follows chain of command.
• Recognizes, assesses, and responds promptly to changes in patient condition within established timeframes.
• Delegates safely based on patient status, potential for harm, task complexity, and team members’ competency/scope.
