Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center’s Emergency Department is seeking a self-motivated RN to join our team on a full-time night schedule. The department features a 38-bed ED that treats diverse acuity levels and supports thrombosis interventions in a Stroke/Stemi capable center.

Join a collaborative team including ED Flow Coordinators, Paramedics, Technicians and Unit Secretaries. BLS is required for all staff; AC LS and PALS are required for RNs, with NIH preferred and a timeframe for obtaining it.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).
• Current Georgia RN license or equivalent multistate licensure (NLC/eNCL).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using nursing process from birth through lifecycle.
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care with a focus on safety and quality.
• Coordinate care with ED team and ancillary staff.
• Document care accurately in patient records.
• Oversee activities of staff and provide teaching to patients and families.
• Communicate issues to Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager or physician as appropriate.
• Maintain standards of practice and professional accountability.
