Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a full-time RN for evening shifts (3:00pm - 3:00am) with ER experience preferred. The role collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team, delivering high-quality care while advancing nursing practice across units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor’s of Nursing preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate nursing care based on patient needs and nursing skills inventory.
• Coordinates nursing care planning with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team, may delegate tasks to achieve outcomes.
• Executes discharge and transfer planning; coordinates treatment plans.
• Participates in program evaluation and process improvement for client-centered outcomes.
• Addresses diverse patient needs across the care continuum to optimize experience.
• Adheres to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.
• Ensures safety for patients, staff, and visitors; follows policies and uses resources wisely.
• Promotes ongoing professional growth; may serve as preceptor or mentor.
• Demonstrates commitment to compassionate, personalized care for the community.
• Models Memorial Hermann service standards in care delivery.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
