Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a patient-centered team providing comprehensive nursing care and coordinating with the physician and healthcare team. The role includes nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatments, and maintaining medical records.

Full-Time/Evenings/3:00pm - 3:00am with an emphasis on safe, compassionate care; Emergency Room RN experience preferred. Texas RN license and BLS required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor’s of Nursing preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing; BLS certification.
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.
• RN I < 1 year; RN II 1-3 years; RN III 3-10 years; RN IV 10+ years; strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients, according to the nursing skills inventory and patient population.
• Coordinates the planning for the delivery of nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and administers clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with healthcare team in attainment of positive outcomes based on data, research, and standards of care.
• Coordinates treatment plans; develops/implements discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in ongoing evaluation of programs, processes, and patient-centered outcomes.
• Ensures the highest level of service and patient experience across the continuum of care.
