HCA Florida Brandon Hospital in Brandon, FL, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department. The RN collaborates with physicians and care teams to deliver timely assessment, treatment, and education, while ensuring accurate documentation and compassionate patient interactions.
The ideal candidate holds a Florida RN license (or compact), a Nursing Diploma/ASN, and ER experience; BSN preferred, with current BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC, CPI,
Qualifications
- Florida Registered Nurse license (or compact) and active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous Emergency Room RN experience strongly preferred.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS within 6 months; PALS/ENPC within 6 months; CPI and TNCC within 6 months; NIHSS within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
- Perform procedures, monitor, and document care in the medical record.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
- Teach patients and families about condition, treatment plan, and follow-up.
- Educate on non-medicinal follow-up measures and self-management.
