Job summary

St. David's Round Rock Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for Emergency Services to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting. You will coordinate with the care team, educate patients and families, and advocate for outcomes aligned with best practices.

The position requires an RN license with an Associate Degree, and timely ACLS/BLS/Stroke certifications. Mentorship and education programs are available as part of our comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• RN licensed with an Associate Degree is required.
• ACLS/BLS and NIH Stroke Scale or equivalent certifications to be obtained within specified timeframes.
• PALS and other emergency certifications to be obtained within set timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures and document care in the medical record in a timely manner.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Teach patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Educate on non-medicinal follow-up measures and self-management.
