Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department in Milford, MA. Responsibilities include delivering direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge and coordinating discharge planning in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Required MA nursing licensure, BLS (30 days), ACLS/PALS/NRP where applicable, with BSN preferred. ER RN experience is highly preferred; equal opportunity employer statement included.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS through AHA or ARC within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS through AHA within 6 months (select areas).
• PALS through AHA within 6 months (select areas).
• NRP Advanced Provider through AAP within 6 months (select areas).
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to patient age.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within assigned setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others per job description and competency.
