Job summary

Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Pool Clinical Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will provide direct nursing care, assess patients, and collaborate with the care team to implement and adjust plans of care.

Eligible candidates hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing, RN license, and BLS. ACLS and PALS are preferred; NIHSS stroke assessment experience is a plus. This is a full-time ED position in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Plans and implements nursing care per policy and guidelines.
• Documents nursing assessments and communicates plans.
• Identifies situations needing intervention and reports them.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and analyzes the health status of patients in the ED.
• Performs ongoing assessments and documents findings per policy.
• Initiates discharge planning with initial admission assessment.
• Plans patient care with patient, family, and health care team.
• Updates plan of care based on patient assessments within required timeframes.
• Directs care team to deliver quality care on assigned unit.
• Communicates and documents all patient care, including orders and education.
• Evaluates patient outcomes and involvement of patient/family in care outcomes.
