Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation in Massillon, OH is seeking a Staff Nurse in the Massillon Emergency Department for the afternoon shift (11am–11pm). You will deliver direct nursing care, perform comprehensive assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

The role requires current Ohio RN licensure, BSN preferred, BLS with RQI, and NIHSS certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current, active licensure as a Registered Nurse through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Maintain BLS; RQI is required; ACLS and PALS preferred/certification within eligibility.
• NIHSS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, primary nursing care to Emergency Department patients across acuity and age groups.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments including vitals, history, allergies, medications, and symptoms.
• Initiate appropriate interventions, monitor responses, and document in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with physicians, EMS, lab, radiology, and other care teams.
• Deliver patient and family education regarding medications, treatments, and discharge plans.
• Participate in quality improvement, safety, and regulatory initiatives.
