Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Staff RN for the Bellevue Emergency Services. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a high-volume ED, collaborating with physicians and clinicians to meet diverse patient needs.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN or qualifies for exceptions, maintains current Nebraska license, and holds BLS; PALS, ACLS, and TNCC/ATCN are preferred or required within specified timelines. This on-site position includes weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required unless exception criteria are met.
• Current Nebraska RN license or compact state license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA endorsed program.
• PALS certification required; department dependent.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer date.
• TNCC or ATCN within one year of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers.
• Support a fast-paced emergency department environment with a focus on safety and quality.
• Shift includes first shift with some variability, weekend work, and rotating holidays.
