Job summary

Nebraska Medicine invites experienced ED RNs to join our 48-bed Emergency Department, offering acute care across varied conditions and patient ages. Primary shift is 7am–7:30pm with weekends, rotating holidays, on-call, and occasional back-up on secondary shift.

Qualifications

• ADN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Effective communication skills required.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility.
• Current Nebraska RN license or compact state license required.
• BLS certification from an AHA-endorsed program.
• PALS certification may be required by department.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer date.
• TNCC or ATCN within one year of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for a designated group of patients.
• Collaborate with health care providers to meet holistic care needs.
• Care environment may be long-term, emergent, critical, acute, interventional or procedural.
