Requires Nebraska RN license and certifications such as BLS/ACLS/TNCC/ENPC/PALS.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required or ADN with a plan to obtain within 5 years.
• NIH Stroke Scale training required by end of orientation.
• Annual mandatory education requirements completed.
• 2 years nursing experience preferred in Emergency/ICU or ED.
• Nebraska RN license (compact or temporary permit) or eligibility.
• BLS/ACLS/TNCC/ENPC/PALS certifications as listed or required.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care and patient education per criteria.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and discharge planning.
• Develop, review and revise the plan of care with collaboration.
• Implement interventions per established plan and standards of care.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and communicate SBAR at shift changes.
• Maintain professional behavior, assist with restocking and cleanliness.
• Initiate actions to minimize risks and document incidents.
• Delegate and evaluate staff utilization per Nurse Practice Act.
• Ensure cost-effective use of supplies and equipment; charge accurately.
• Follow safety protocols for hazardous medications and excreta.
