Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking experienced Med/Surg trained nurses to care for ED admission holds in a busy 48-bed Emergency Department. The role requires an ADN or Nursing Diploma, Nebraska RN license (or compact), BLS, and likely PALS/ACLS; TNCC/ATCN may be required depending on the department. Nights, weekends, and holidays are included.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required
• Current Nebraska RN license or compact state license required
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• PALS certification preferred depending on department
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer date
• TNCC or ATCN within one year of hire or transfer date

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients.
• Care for ED admission holds in a 48-bed Emergency Department with varying acuity and patient ages.
