Job summary

St. Croix Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department on straight night shifts (7 pm – 7:30 am), 0.75 FTE, with rotation every 3rd weekend and holiday. This role requires a WI RN license, an ADN and preferred BSN, with 1 year of acute care experience.

The RN will deliver patient- and family-centered care, perform assessments, coordinate with the care team, and maintain accurate EMR documentation while promoting best practices and safe discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Current WI Registered Nurse license is required.
• Current BLS; ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC certifications preferred within role timelines.
• One year of acute care experience required; emergency services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver patient- and family-centered care.
• Document care and patient responses accurately in the EMR.
• Provide education and support to patients and families about care plans and discharge needs.
• Respond to urgent and emergent situations with clinical judgment and safety at the forefront.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing assistants as appropriate.
