Job summary

Medical City Denton, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an ER Registered Nurse for night shift with rotating weekends (7p-7a). The RN will deliver patient-centered care and collaborate with the care team to ensure positive clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities include pain assessment, procedural support, patient education, and thorough documentation. Requires ER/ICU experience, Texas RN license, BLS; ACLS/PALS within 90 days, TNCC/ENPC within 18 months, BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year ER RN experience required or ICU RN experience required.
• Texas State RN license or compact license required. BSN preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• TNCC and ENPC required within 18 months of hire or transfer; advanced specialty certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements.
• Collaborates with medical providers and care team; documents care in the medical record in a timely manner.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and supports timely, compassionate care.
• Educates patients/families/caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up steps.
• Prepares patients and families for self-management and health maintenance.
