Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse with ER/ICU experience for a full-time night shift. The RN will deliver direct patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure discharge planning begins at admission.

Qualified candidates hold a BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN, Illinois RN license, and BLS. ER-specific ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC within one year and other certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required or equivalent with RN licensure
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
• American Heart Association BLS
• Demonstrated interpersonal and collaborative skills
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years
• ER-specific: ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within 1 year of hire
• Emergency Room/Pediatric ER: additional certifications may be required

• Provide individualized patient care from admission through discharge
• Document assessments and plans of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet patient care goals
• Educate patients and families using evidence-based practices
