Qualifications

• Knowledge of EMTALA transfers and age-specific safety in the ER.
• Ability to interpret EKG tracing and arterial blood gases.
• Experience with vasoactive infusions and pace maker management.
• Capable of discharge planning with focus on post-ER needs.
• Skilled in de-escalation and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Perform ER triage, assess vitals, and notify physician within 15 minutes.
• Administer IV therapies, medications, and monitor patient responses.
• Respond to emergencies and document interventions and outcomes.
• Ensure accurate transfer and referral documentation for intra-facility moves.
• Document patient progress toward discharge criteria.
