Job summary

Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency in Gig Harbor, Washington, is seeking an Emergency Licensed Veterinary Technician for Day Shift. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of ER experience and must hold an active Washington license or be in the process of transferring it.

This role includes responsibilities such as triaging patient history, administering medications, and providing patient care. The position also offers a competitive hourly rate and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, PTO, and a sign-on bonus of $5,000 for Overnight LVT or VTS.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ER setting.
• Candidates must hold an active Washington LVT license.
• Confidence in life-saving procedures including CPR/BLS.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history from owners.
• Perform diagnostic tests and out-patient procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by DVM.
• Provide oversight and treatment for multiple ER patients.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Provide support and education to pet owners.
