Job summary

Alliance Community Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care and patient/family teaching within the interdisciplinary health care team under the supervision of an RN, in accordance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. The role requires successful nursing program completion, active Ohio LPN licensure, and ongoing competency in safe patient care, with BLS+RQI training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, active LPN licensure through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• BLS with Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) training required.
• IV Certification, preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.
• Acquire CIDE certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Instruct patients and families as part of teaching.
• Document nursing activities accurately and promptly.
• Administer medications and observe patient responses.
• Collect specimens as ordered and report changes to RN.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health care team members.
