Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in an ER setting; LVTs must hold an active WA license or be transferring licensure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle fast-paced, high-stress situations with composure.
• CPR/BLS confidence and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history from owners
• Perform diagnostic tests and out-patient procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by DVM
• Provide oversight for multiple ER patients with gold-standard care
• Support and educate pet owners
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Discharge patients and answer client questions
• Fill prescriptions and review with owners
• Maintain cleanliness of the hospital
