Job summary

La Palma Intercommunity Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Director of ER/ICU (RN) to manage 24-hour critical care nursing services in a busy acute care setting. The role supervises staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and coordinates patient care with physicians and administration.

Required are RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ideally CEN, with at least two years of supervisory experience and a BSN per policy.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• CEN certification preferred.
• Minimum two years supervisory/management experience.
• Minimum three years clinical experience in acute care.
• BSN required for all new hires after 1/11/2021.

Responsibilities

• Assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility for critical care nursing.

• Develops and implements departmental plans and performance improvements.
• Communicates with staff, physicians and administration to meet patient needs.
