Community Medical Center in Missoula, MT, is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for the ER to help keep the department organized and responsive.

As the central communication hub, you will manage phone calls, admissions, registrations, and patient records using Epic, coordinate transfers, and support nurses, physicians, and families.

The role requires strong organizational and customer service skills, comfort with medical terminology, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Formación

• Strong organizational, multitasking, critical-thinking and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience with EHR systems, e.g., Epic, is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Answer multi-line phones, relay messages between nurses, physicians, families, and ancillary departments.
• Coordinate ER check-ins, registrations, bed assignments, transfers and discharges using EHR systems like Epic.
• Enter and verify physician orders for labs, imaging and medications.
• Prepare, update and file patient charts and track progress notes.
