Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse for part-time day and night shifts. The RN will provide care following the Nursing Process and collaborate with the care team to meet patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities include performing assessments, administering medications, assisting in emergencies, educating patients and families, documenting care, and supporting other team members within a supportive, Mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
• 2 years of hospital-based experience with at least 18 months of recent/relevant clinical experience within their specialty area.

• Assume responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed care givers as appropriate.

Position Purpose

In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Staff Registered Nurse, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The Registered Nurse collaborates in the spirit of teamwork is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
• Current BLS/CPR
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team
• Basic computer skills required; prior experience using an EMR for charting preferred
• 2 years of hospital-based experience with at least 18 months of recent/relevant clinical experience within their specialty area.
• Candidates must successfully complete a series of online competencies with an 80% or greater to be eligible.
• Medical Surgical Nursing- BLS required, ACLS preferred, Critical Care-BLS and ACLS required, ER- BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC required, Perinatal-EFM (Labor and Delivery) and NRP required.
