Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for its Emergency Department Float Pool. As an ED Float Pool RN, you’ll support care across units, adapting to staffing needs and high-acuity scenarios.

This role offers exposure to diverse patients, collaboration with trauma teams, and opportunities to sharpen emergency nursing skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; compact licenses must transfer within 60 days.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is required; degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months' experience must obtain BSN within four years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Float to ED and other designated acute care areas as needed.
