The role emphasizes direct patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and active participation in performance improvement efforts. Eligible candidates hold RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and at least 2 years ER experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Current RN license in Tennessee or a compact state.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• ER nursing experience of at least 2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
