Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking an Emergency Room Float Pool Nurse who provides direct patient care within the scope of RN practice and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to achieve hospital goals.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, administering medications, monitoring conditions, and educating patients and families as part of a care planning team. Requires ER experience and current RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN licensure in Tennessee or compact state required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire required.
• ER nursing experience: 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds, monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.

Education

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

Current RN licensure (Tennessee Board of Nursing or compact state)

Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
