Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Emergency Department is seeking an ED Tech to support clinicians in a high-acuity environment. You will assist nurses and physicians with patient care, monitor vital signs, help with transport, wound care, and equipment setup, and help maintain a safe, clean unit.

You should be capable of working under pressure, communicating clearly, and upholding infection control protocols. Relevant CNA/EMT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active CNA license or EMT/EMT-P certification or student nurse status.
• CPR/BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Additional orthopedic tech certifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses and physicians with direct patient care, including vital signs, patient transport, wound care and equipment setup.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment, stock supplies, and respond rapidly to patient needs and emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team while upholding safety and infection control protocols.
• Respect patient/family rights and privacy; document care within required time frames.
