Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Critical Care Tech to support the care team in an emergency/acute care environment. You will assist with direct patient care, communicate with RNs and physicians, and help manage supplies and records to ensure smooth daily operations.

You will perform technical tasks under supervision, document thoroughly, and contribute to safety and quality in patient care. A compassionate, collaborative approach is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EMT certificate with IV therapy certs (EMTA/EMTI/Paramedic) required.
• One year healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with RN and Physician regarding patient observations to aid treatment.
• Performs IV insertion, splinting, wound care as directed by the RN or physician.
• Provides person-centered care with empathy in collaboration with the team.
• Documents tasks and observations accurately in patient records.
• Demonstrates safe clinical practices to protect patients and staff.
• Collaborates on plan of care and follow-up with the care team.
