Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join our busy ED team on a full-time day shift (7 AM–7 PM). The role provides support to physicians and nurses, performing procedures under supervision, with emphasis on patient care, de-escalation, and safety.

Candidates must have clinical experience and education as described, and obtain BLS within 90 days of hire.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT-B or equivalent certification at time of hire or military corps school completion.
• Current student in clinical program with at least one completed semester.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians, advanced practitioners or nurses in implementing care plans for emergency patients.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• Complete de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire; maintain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
