Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training.
• Active Patient Care Technician Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living under RN guidance.
• Support bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility and transport.
• Document vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs as directed by RN.
• Identify changes in patient status and report promptly.
• Reinforce patient and family education on care needs.
• Participate in patient satisfaction and quality initiatives.
• Complete unit competencies by due date.
• Adhere to safety protocols for high quality care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and visitors.
