Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Critical Care Tech to assist in direct and indirect patient care in collaboration with an RN or Physician, providing vital patient support.

You will facilitate communication with the healthcare team to meet physical and emotional needs, stock supplies, and assist with medical records and daily tasks, in a hospital setting. The role requires empathy and strong teamwork in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Empathy and patient-centered approach required.
• Strong verbal and written communication with the healthcare team.
• Ability to collaborate with RNs and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with RN and Physician regarding patient/family observations to assist in treatment.
• Performs technical tasks (IV insertion, splinting, wound care) as directed by RN/Physician per policies.
• Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect within a multidisciplinary team.
• Accurately documents observations and procedures in patient records per standards.
• Demonstrates safe clinical practices to protect patients and staff.
• Collaborates with medicine, nursing, and other professionals on the plan of care.
