Job summary

Inova Ashburn Healthplex in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Clinical Technician to support the Emergency Department in a rotating 7a-7p and 11a-11p schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week with weekend rotation. The role requires attendance at a six-week paid training period.

Responsibilities include assisting in direct patient care under RN supervision, measuring vitals, ADLs, documenting care, and communicating patient status.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Provides basic activities of daily living nursing care (e.g. bathing and feeding) and measurement of vital signs and intake/output.
• Completes necessary documentation accurately and reinforces discharge teaching and home care skills.
• Communicates changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
