Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the Emergency Department team for full-time night shifts (7pm–7am). The position includes three 12-hour shifts weekly with variable days and a mandatory 6-week training period, including virtual and on-site sessions in Falls Church, VA.

Typical responsibilities include assisting with direct patient care under RN supervision, ADL support, vital signs, documentation, phlebotomy, and IV starts as part of training.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire (American Heart Association).
• Attend 6-week training period.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Provides basic activities of daily living and measurement of vital signs and intake/output.
• Completes necessary documentation accurately and reinforces discharge teaching and home care skills.
• Performs phlebotomy and starts/advances IVs as part of the initial training.
• Communicates changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
