Job summary

Fairview Park Hospital is seeking an RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Emergency Department to lead nursing care and coordination on a designated shift. The CNC collaborates with management to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and to optimize throughput and performance.

You will guide staff, participate in staffing decisions, and drive initiatives to improve engagement and outcomes. This role emphasizes service excellence and adherence to policies in a dynamic ER setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia or compact license
• Experience coordinating in ER/acute care settings preferred
• ACLS/BLS and crisis intervention certifications up to date

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge for efficient throughput
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care per policies and procedures
• Collaborate with managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes
• Support patient-first service and handle service recovery when needed
• Operationalize nursing strategies (hourly rounds, staff engagement)
• Recommend staffing, training, and discipline actions as needed
• Manage staff scheduling and labor in line with productivity guidelines
• Support inventory control and equipment management
