This leadership role directs nursing care, coordinates throughput, and collaborates with the management team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN leadership experience preferred
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications
• ER nursing experience required
• Leadership experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit with the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to create teamwork that improves outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Implements nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds to improve engagement.
• Assists with staff interviewing, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assists with staff scheduling and aligns labor with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and helps manage supplies and equipment.
