Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL seeks an experienced Charge Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Main ER. This full-time MID shift role focuses on coordinating patient care, staffing, and workflow to ensure high-quality, safe outcomes.

Responsibilities include admissions/discharges, staff development, and collaboration with the management team to optimize throughput, patient experience and outcomes. ER leadership and nursing excellence are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Must hold an active RN license in the state of practice
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Prior Emergency Room RN experience is required
• Leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care
• Participates in ongoing assessment of care quality in collaboration with management
• Collaborates with managers to create a team-oriented environment that improves outcomes
• Supports patient-first initiatives and service recovery when needed
• Oversees staffing and scheduling to meet patient care needs and productivity guidelines
• Manages inventory and supplies as part of everyday operations
