Job summary

FMOL Health in Gonzales, LA, is seeking an Emergency Services Technician to support ER staff by performing approved patient treatments under supervision and by assisting in admissions, transfers, and discharges.

You will help with patient care, respond to call lights, assist with hygiene, retrieve medications, maintain a clean, safe environment, and follow established guidelines while working under close supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Specialized Training or Certification recommended.
• Must meet one of the following: Nurse Aide Certification, 1 year in emergency medicine, Certified Medical Assistant, Louisiana EMT license, or nursing student in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision and perform approved treatments.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes; greet and orient patients and families.
• Respond to patient call lights; assist with hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Maintain patient linens, room cleanliness, and safe environment; observe infection control standards.
• Retrieve medications from pharmacy or pneumatic tube system and deliver to nurses as needed.
