Job summary

SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO, is seeking an ED Technician for the Emergency Department on a part-time schedule (12p–12a) with rotating weekends and holidays.

The ED Technician provides skilled bedside patient care in collaboration with the primary nurse and ED physicians. Preferred candidates hold CNA or EMT certification; ED experience is strongly preferred, and phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• CNA or EMT certification preferred.
• Emergency Department experience is strongly preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides bedside patient care in collaboration with the primary nurse.
• Reports and documents patient condition changes to the ED team in a timely manner.
• Assists with vital signs, transport, and patient movement as needed.
• Performs unit clerical duties and supports ED operations.
• Supports teaching of students rotating through the ED.
• Responds calmly to emergencies and maintains patient safety.
